Women's Rowing Takes Home Bronze at the NCAA Division III Championships
WPI punctuated it's best season in school history by finishing third in the varsity eight race and as a team at the NCAA Division III Women's Rowing Championships at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, FL. The team finish is the highest of any NCAA team sport in school history.

University of Scranton Undergraduate Commencement
The University of Scranton conferred more than 890 bachelor's and associate's degrees at its undergraduate commencement on May 27 at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre. Very Reverend Timothy P. Kesicki, S.J., president of the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States, read the remarks of the principal speaker Most Reverend George V. Murry, S.J., Bishop of the Diocese of Youngstown, who was unable to attend the ceremony in person because he is undergoing treatment for a form of acute leukemia. Both Father Kesicki and Bishop Murry, in absentia, received honorary degrees from the University. Honorary degrees were also presented to Sister Ann Walsh, I.H.M., former CEO and current assistant director of Friends of the Poor; William Whitaker, founding president of the Washington Jesuit Academy, Washington. D.C.; and Cecelia Lynett Haggerty, Times-Shamrock Communications and former University trustee.

Lasell holds 164th commencement ceremony for more than 500 students
Lasell College held its 164th commencement on May 12, granting 398 Baccalaureate degrees and 125 Master's degrees, before an audience packed with family, friends, and members of the Lasell community on Taylor Field. Commencement speaker Donato Tramuto, president and founder of the nonprofit Health eVillages, shared with graduates his steps toward success with many stories from his own experiences growing up and becoming a corporate leader. The audience also heard messages from Lasell College President Michael B. Alexander, who addressed both undergraduate and graduate recipients. Alexander encouraged them to dream big and to embrace opportunities for personal and professional growth.

The WPI women's rowing team has been selected to participate in the NCAA Division III Championships for the first time in program history. This year's championships will be held May 25-27 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, FL, and will be hosted by the University of Central Florida.

Assumption College Awards 617 Degrees at 101st Commencement
On Sunday, May 13, Assumption College awarded 617 degrees during its 101st Commencement exercises held at the DCU Center in downtown Worcester, MA, in which speaker The Most Reverend Robert E. Barron, S.T.D., auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and evangelist who uses various forms of media, in particular social media, to share the Gospel message and one of the most-followed Catholics on social media, delivered the Commencement address.

Eight From Men's Lacrosse Earn All-League
The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) men's lacrosse team placed eight student-athletes on the All-Liberty League teams, the conference has announced. Three - Keaton Ackermann, Lucas Bastarache and Zach Lukas - were picked for the First Team. JT Kelly and Matthew Gilman earned Second Team and Tom Feenstra, Quinn Fettig and Parker Smith garnered Honorable Mention.

Wesleyan Team Wins Prize for "Best User Insight" at DataFest
A team of four Wesleyan students won the prize for "Best User Insight" at the annual DataFest event organized by Wesleyan's Quantiative Analysis Center, April 6-8. Seventy students from six universities participated in this year's DataFest, which is held under the auspices of the American Statistical Association.
